Overview

Edge Fund is a grant-making body with a difference. They support efforts to achieve social, economic and environmental justice and to end imbalances in wealth and power – and give those they aim to help a say in where the money goes.

What they do fund

Please check their definitions first to understand the criteria below:

  • Work with the primary objective of creating long-term change in society by addressing the causes of injustice and inequality.
  • They focus on groups addressing issues that face a particular community that are led by that community(e.g. a group working on issues around sex work should be led by people with direct lived experience of sex work).
  • They prioritise groups that struggle to get funding elsewhere, particularly if other funders might consider them to be "too radical".
  • All types of non-profit organisations, including groups that are not formally registered.
  • Read more in their definitions section and values section

They do not typically fund Social Enterprises or Community Interest Companies rarely fund charities for a few reasons. Find out more, in their FAQ's, click here.
