Overview

BT Community Connections is an award scheme which enables community and charitable organisations to get online and make use of information and communications technology (ICT).

The scheme supports a diverse range of community and charitable groups across the UK such as Silver surfers, after school and youth clubs, even 'IT for the Terrified' groups who have benefitted from an award in the past and are now encouraging even more people to get online. Groups are only eligible to apply if they have a BT business landline. Applications from groups able to demonstrate how they help the local community learn about the benefits of the internet and how they will train members of the community to use the internet are welcomed. Priority will be given to applications from community groups that operate in areas of deprivation* Priority will be given to community groups who have not previously won an award. However, previous award winners are eligible to apply and will be considered, providing they meet the application criteria. The award will be 12 months’ free connection to BT Business Total Broadband Advance.
