Overview
Foundation has a clear unwavering vision, which is to save lives, and significantly improve lives for those in need in the UK and around the world. They are keen to work in partnership with innovative and high impact organisations, so that together we can achieve their vision and make a lasting, positive difference for those in greatest need.
In the UK, the areas they support include:
- healthcare for the vulnerable,
- tackling mental ill-health,
- alleviating poverty,
- women and children at risk of violence or exploitation,
- prisoner rehabilitation and
- education of the most disadvantaged.
They welcome applications from organisations and individuals who align with their mission and values.
Call for enquiries
The Board of Trustees are pleased to invite enquiries for consideration for funding.
Enquiries can be made for grant support for projects only with the following themes:
- Alleviating poverty, specifically directly and sustainably alleviating extreme poverty
- Healthcare and nutrition for the most vulnerable, making lasting change and bringing immediate benefit
- Clean water and sanitation for the most vulnerable, for long term impact, including supporting improvements at community level
Enquiries linked these themes are welcome from organisations meeting the following criteria:
- UK registered organisations which have a global operation (i.e. saving lives globally)
- Projects which seek funding, across a range of £5,000 to £30,000.
- They expect to make a number of grant awards across this range of values, so enquiries for projects at all values within this range are actively encouraged.
- Organisations should only enquire if you are delivering directly life saving impact, and/or impact which is significantly improving lives as a direct result of their interventions.
Applicant Notes
- Enquiries are invited for projects shown to deliver proven, effective impact as well as innovative, novel or disruptive projects which the applicant considers can make a real difference – linked (specifically and clearly) to one or more of the three themes noted above.
- Organisations must have been established for at least three years and have an annual turnover above £50,000 and less than £500,000 to be considered. Please calculate this as an average over the last 3 years.
- Funding available is limited to projects or elements of projects which can be completed within 12 months from receipt of funding.
- Organisations must demonstrate co-investment. They will provide grant funding up to a maximum of 50% of total project costs only. Smaller contributions (less than 50%) to enable a larger project to be delivered, with greater co-investment from other sources will be considered positively by their Trustees, where the element to be funded by their foundation can be clearly shown.
- Please note, they will only consider enquiries which are strongly aligned to the Foundation’s areas of focus, and which are clearly the core purpose for applicant organisations with a strong track record of delivering impact.
- Please also note that they will only consider enquiries from those organisations that can strongly evidence their project will save and/or significantly improve lives as a direct outcome of the funded intervention.
