Overview
The Public Health Agency has announced a call for proposals relating to Bereaved by Suicide Coordination and Development Project
Voluntary and Community organisations are now invited to submit proposals to the Public Health Agency (PHA) for a two year project to further expand the level and quality of support available to individuals, families and communities bereaved by suicide across Northern Ireland. Key to this will be supporting the development of the Family Voices Forum, a regional forum for individuals and families bereaved by suicide. A regional grant is available up to a maximum of £30,000 per year for the two-year project.
The PHA particularly welcomes proposals which:
- Support the developmentand enhancement of the Families Voices Forum (FVF) to be a regional (and self- sustained) organisation for those bereaved by suicide.
- Provide individuals/families who have been bereaved through suicide the opportunity to input to discussions / decisions on the implementation of the suicide prevention strategy and other relevant policies/strategies
- Increase collaborative working with the FVF and improve communication / coordination between local support groups and FVF.
