Music for All Community Projects

Community Projects : 2025 Funding round 4
They are offering financial support to community projects and individuals in the following categories:
Physical mobility or accessibility needs
- This award is open to community groups in deprived or marginalised areas and developing music education for those living in the area (this includes but is not limited to social infrastructure; please see the domains of deprivation for England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland), providing music making opportunities to those with physical mobility, coordination and/or accessibility needs. Applicants for this award will need to demonstrate how music is used within their project work and where possible, be able to illustrate previous examples of their work as well as illustrate how funds will be used to remove barriers to support music-making for the group. A grant of up to £2000 is available for this award.
Mental health and loneliness/isolation
- This award is open to community groups in deprived or marginalised areas and developing music education for those living in the area (this includes but is not limited to social infrastructure; please see the domains of deprivation for England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland), providing music making opportunities to those experiencing mental health challenges/affected by loneliness or isolation. Applicants for this award will need to demonstrate how music is used within their project work and where possible, be able to illustrate previous examples of their work as well as illustrate how funds will be used to remove barriers to support music-making for the group. A grant of up to £2000 is available for this award.
Choral groups
- This award is open to community groups in deprived or marginalised areas and developing music education for those living in the area (this includes but is not limited to social infrastructure; please see the domains of deprivation for England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland), providing music making opportunities to choral groups (both new and existing). Applicants for this award will need to demonstrate how music is used within their project work and where possible, be able to illustrate previous examples of their work as well as illustrate how funds will be used to remove barriers for its participants. A grant of up to £2000 is available for this award.
Working with early years aged children
- This award is open to community groups/schools in deprived or marginalised areas and developing music education for those living in the area (this includes but is not limited to social infrastructure; please see the domains of deprivation for England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland), providing opportunities to make music to children aged between 0-4. Applicants for this award will need to demonstrate how music is used within their project work and where possible, be able to illustrate previous examples of their work as well as illustrate how funds will be used to remove barriers to support music-making for the group. Caring and formal educational settings are considered, and choirs can apply. A grant of up to £2000 is available for this award.
Descant recorder pack and music pack
- Open to applications from groups using entry-level descant recorders to support communities in deprived or marginalised areas and develop music education for those living in the area. Suitable for beginners only and includes ‘walking in the air sheet music’. Note, no cases available. (These disadvantaged communities include but are not limited to social infrastructure; please see 7 domains of deprivation here). You can apply for up to 60 recorder packs in this category.
Eligibility:
Individual applicants should be either a UK citizen or granted leave to enter or remain in
the UK for an indefinite time or hold a certificate of right of abode in the UK and proposing to
conduct the activities proposed in the application within the UK. Please note that you are not
eligible to make this application if you are present in the UK only for the purpose of
education or attending a course of study.
Community applicants: The organisation applying should be registered in the UK (e.g. with
the UK Charities Commission or Companies House) and proposing to conduct the activities
proposed in the application within the UK. You do not have to be a registered charity to
apply, anyone that fits into the above can apply for a Music for All grant. This includes but is
not limited to: schools or any form of educational establishment, community projects,
charities, organisations, companies and individuals.

- You are not eligible to apply if you are only in the UK for study purposes

- They prioritise applications to those most in need
- You will receive notification approximately three months after receipt of application
