Youth Council - Programme Grants
Overview
Organisations that meet all the relevant criteria (see Young People Focused Policy 6.1, 6.2, 6.3) will be considered potentially eligible for Programme Support Funding. Supplementary Information (if applicable, see application form for details)
Strand A : Strategic Funding
Funding is available for eligible Voluntary Organisations to develop programmes under the following headings:
- Promoting Inclusion - Disability
- Promoting wider life chances for young adults
Strand B : Supporting Youth Work Practice
Funding is available for eligible Voluntary Organisations to develop the operational capacity of staff and volunteers within their structures. This funding will support the implementation of training programmes for youth support staff and volunteers whose primary role is to work face to face with young people. Training must relate to one or more of the four Strategic Issues below:
- Promoting Inclusion
- Promoting Innovation
- Promoting Physical & Emotional Well-being
- Promoting wider life chances for young adults
Strand C : Community Relations & Cultural Diversity
The purpose of this funding strand is to enhance the capacity and contribution of Regional Voluntary Youth-based Organisations (RVYOs) to the building of a more peaceful and inclusive society and to further embed the principles of Equity, Diversity and Interdependence into youth work policy and practice. Grant aid is available to assist RVYOs to deliver new and innovative programmes, policies and/or strategies in support of this above purpose.
How to Apply
The Youth Council for Northern Ireland is tasked with providing funding for Regional Headquarter Voluntary Organisations operating throughout Northern Ireland. This programme will probably open and close annually.
