The Worshipful Company of Fuellers
Overview
Their general aim is to donate at least two thirds of net income, received primarily from members’ general donations, legacies, event-led giving and our investments’ performance.
Their giving includes regular support for several organisations including their sponsored school, Platanos Academy, other education initiatives, the Company’s military affiliates and the RNLI’s Tower Lifeboat, together with one-off grants, including those suggested by their members.
During the Company’s recent Royal Year the Trust focussed on six special projects, all educational, as part of a major fundraising drive.
Funding is available to support charities, charitable organisations and groups affiliated to the Company and energy industries.
The Company wishes to fund the following:
- City of London appeals.
- Appeals from military affiliates.
- Arts charities involved in the energy industries.
- Education schemes, particularly those related to energy industries.
- Poverty relief, especially for applicants associated to the Company and energy industries.
- Schemes for youth organisations, especially those linked to the energy industries.
No minimum or maximum level of grant is specified.
Details of donations made are set out in the Trust’s annual report and financial statements, which are presented to members at Common Hall each year, available on the Charity Commission’s website (Charity number 288157).
In 2022, a total of £38,362 was donated as cash awards or prizes in both their restricted and unrestricted categories.
