South West Peace III Cluster
Overview
The South West Peace III partnership announced at the Peace III Roadshow in Cookstown that it will open its grants programmes in March 2009 will also soon be advertising four tendering opportunities. The South West Partnership will fund in Cookstown, Dungannon and South Tyrone, Magherafelt and Fermanagh district council areas.
The South West Peace III Partnership will deliver actions in line with the following programmes and budgets:
- Engagement with target groups £13,000
- Anti-sectarianism and racism £170,000
- Interface areas £180,000
- Ethnic minorities and migrant workers £186,000
- Dispelling Myths £150,000
- Victims £50,000
- Cross Border Development £224,800
- Cross Border Projects £500,000 (linked to programme 7)
- Sharing space £1,350,000
- Active citizenship and civic leadership £150,000
The total budget for these ten programmes is £3,091,600.
SMALL GRANTS PROGRAMME
The PEACE III Partnership is inviting applications under the following themes:
Programme A: Challenge Sectarianism and Racism
Projects to help make communities a more welcoming and inclusive place to live and work for people from a different religious belief, political opinion or ethnic background. Grants of up to £30,000 are available and no match funding is required.
Programme C: Ethnic Minorities
Projects to specifically reach out to ethnic minorities and migrant workers living and working in the SW Cluster to help them integrate in the local community and social life of the area. Grants of up to £30,000 are available and no match funding is required.
Programme D: Cross Border Relationships
Projects to develop new cross border relationships which help address sectarianism and racism and strengthen and develop existing cross border projects. Grants of up to £50,000 are available and no match funding is required.
