Overview
Any musicians (soloists or groups) and composers from, or based in Northern Ireland may apply for a place on the programme. MOM is particularly interested in applications from the range of under-represented genres that MOM specializes in (Jazz, Chamber/Classical, Traditional, Contemporary).
The selected artists will be able to discuss and tailor the programme with MOM staff in order to best suit their needs, however key elements of the programme will include:
- Mentoring – artists will benefit from mentoring sessions with professional artists in their field, as well as on-going support and guidance from MOM staff
- Performance – support slots and other performance opportunities within MOM’s annual programme• Networking opportunities with artists and organisations involved in MOM’s programm
- Marketing – opportunity to receive video, photographs, copy and marketing advice
Applicants must:
- Be over 18
- Be a resident of Northern Ireland
- Not be in formal education or training (full or part time)
- Be able to demonstrate a high quality of performance practice with the potential and commitment to developing a professional career in music.
