Overview

STOP Hunger

Sodexo's global STOP Hunger initiative aims to tackle hunger and malnutrition in the local communities where we operate. In the UK and Ireland, the Sodexo Foundation (a registered charity) is the driving force behind the STOP Hunger initiative.

They support charitable organisations that:

  • provide healthy food to those in need
  • promote healthy eating and healthy lifestyle education
  • deliver basic life skills education to those in need e.g. cooking on a budget, basic cooking skills, basic food hygiene and health and safety.

They do this by engaging with their employees, customers, clients and suppliers to:

  • provide financial and in-kind support
  • share expertise
  • volunteer time

Local Communities

Sodexo believes that community involvement should reflect our business activities as this is where our strengths and areas of expertise lie.

Commitments to local communities include:

  • tackling hunger
  • supporting local community development
  • sourcing fairtrade products
