Overview
Capacity to Care has four key areas of focus:
- Get Smart – Enhancing Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM) education for children
- Tread Lightly – Reducing our impact on the planet
- Be Well --Encouraging healthy lifestyles and wellness among employees and within our communities
- Reach Out – Helping those most in need
Capacity to Care emphasises employee volunteerism as well as corporate giving. It is a broad-based programme that makes a difference in local communities. Some of the many areas of support and service that the company and its employees have engaged in include mentoring and supporting local schools and science fairs; assisting the elderly and disabled by improving facilities and offering programmes and events; preparing food for the hungry; rebuilding homes, schools and other facilities in under-served areas; recycling and beach cleanups; fundraising for cancer research and medical care for needy children; and much, much more.
