Poetry Ireland: Partnership Funding
Overview
Poetry Ireland is delighted to announce that applications are now open for the next round of funding under their Partnership Scheme, supporting poets, collectives, curators, and producers in presenting live poetry events across Ireland.
This scheme fosters collaboration with poets, collectives, festivals, venues, and arts organisations to create performance opportunities for poets at all career stages, ensuring poetry in all forms reaches audiences across the island of Ireland.
They now welcome submissions for poetry events and activities taking place between 1st July to 31st December 2025.
Funding Priorities
Poetry Ireland has identified three priorities they wish to support through the partnership scheme, and welcome applications that align with one or more of the following priorities:
- Their Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Policy and action plan promotes poets who are underrepresented or marginalised - they are particularly keen to support events, readings and activities that consider this, and foreground published or spoken word poets from such backgrounds.
- Newly published poetry collections and anthologies by poets at all stages of their careers.
- Mainstage Events: events that include support for diverse international guests, music and reading combinations, and / or multi-disciplinary approaches to incorporating poetry readings into general arts programmes.
Funding and Support Available
Their budgets are limited and awarded funding will be dependent on scale, ambition and demand. Indicative levels of support, based on 2024 awards, range from €300 to €1000 maximum. It is recommended applicants should not rely solely on the partnership scheme to finance the activity/event.
Addition Partnership Scheme Benefits:
In addition to a budgetary contribution, Poetry Ireland offers promotion on Poetry Ireland’s website and social media channels and inclusion in Poetry Ireland’s digital and print marketing (where applicable).
Poetry Ireland endeavour to attend as many of the festivals and events which we support as is feasible.
