Phoenix Energy: The Phoenix Community Fund
Overview
Thriving, connected communities is at the core of their business and community purpose, and the Phoenix Community Fund has been established to help local charity and community groups across their licence area.
In 2025 they're utilising the Phoenix Community Fund to support community groups and organisations across the licence area with funding to help them deliver activity that
- reduces social isolation,
- removes barriers to inclusion and
- promotes equality in their community.
Activities in 2024 included, free-all ability music classes, biodiversity initiatives, Dad’s & Daughters Cricket programme, English classes for refugees/ asylum seekers and bird box building sessions.
In 2025, the Phoenix Community Fund welcomes applications from community groups and organisations big and small that require funding support (up to a maximum of £500) to deliver activity to reduce social isolation, removes barriers to inclusion and promotes equality in their community
Applications for Phoenix Community Fund support will be reviewed monthly with funding awarded on a monthly basis.
Phoenix reserves the right to close the fund at any time.
Application Requirements
Your application for funding towards an event or activity must:
- Consent to The Phoenix Community Fund Terms & Conditions
- Be based within the Phoenix Energy licence area
- Use the funding towards an event or activity within the local community
- Clearly demonstrate how your event / activity will help reduce social isolation, reduce barriers to inclusion or promote equality in the community
- Be an inclusive event / activity open to a cross section of the community
- Be scheduled to take place between 1st April 2025 - 1st March 2026

Phoenix Energy Supports Sport Changes Life
Phoenix Energy has launched a new partnership with Sport Changes Life, which aims to provide primary school pupils with opportunities to take part in sport while also tackling the climate challenge.
Sport Changes Life work in local communities to help young people to build self-belief, achieve success and shape a positive future.

Corporate Volunteering
As part of their commitment to building inclusive communities, they provide their colleagues with opportunities to participate in community volunteering activities.
