Finding charity partners

When they’re looking for new partners, they put out a call for inspiring project ideas. And choose to support the projects that’ll have the biggest impact.

They’ve committed more than £2m to these life-changing projects since 2020, thanks to OVO customer donations.

Their 3 funding principles

  • Our goals must be achievable
    • They want to make sure their customers’ donations make a real difference. To be sure of this, they clearly define the projects’ goals from the start, and make a careful plan of how to get there.
  • Our progress must be measurable
    • They always measure the impact of their work. By tracking how their projects are getting on, they can be sure they’re making a real difference to people’s lives.
  • Our projects must have potential
    • They only fund projects with potential to grow – and truly make a difference far and wide. Their aim is to achieve in months what might’ve taken years without funding.
