Overview
Grants to Groups and Individuals
They will consider applications for grant aid from voluntary heritage groups which are based in the Borough and which promote, develop and encourage greater involvement for everyone in the arts.
Note: Groups operating at a provincial level will receive consideration.
Who can apply?
- New heritage groups may apply for a seeding grant, up to a maximum of £200, to help with their initial expenses. Such groups must be properly constituted and have their own bank account for this purpose only.
- Groups who are organising nonprofit-making courses or classes which will extend or develop the arts within the community.
- Major events or festivals organised within the Borough which are open to the general public.
- Special projects or initiatives which develop the arts locally or make the arts more accessible, and demonstrate equal opportunity to all sections of the community. Your group's application must demonstrate sufficient experience and expertise to carry out the project, by submitting detailed plans of how the project will run, and stating the time scale and projected expenditure.
They will also consider applications for grant aid from individuals who wish to undertake a project related to the heritage of Newtownabbey Borough.
