Overview

Previously, The M&S Energy Community Energy Fund had a fund of £300,000 to support renewable energy projects and technologies across the UK.

2019 competition

Working with their partner Crowdfunder, in 2019, they shortlisted 9 projects from across the UK, all of whom were pitching for funding to help transform their local communities into green energy generators.

Prize 1: Most supporters - £5,000 went to the community group that garnered the most number of supporters, showing incontestably that they have a community around them that really supports the idea of renewable technology and/or energy efficiency.

Prize 2: Most raised - £5,000 went to the community group that raised the most money, which tells the story that your community are not afraid to dig deep and do whatever is needed to make the ideas happen that are important to them.

Who can apply?

Not-for-profit projects that want to use renewable energy to provide community benefits, including community energy groups, sports clubs or simply organisations that want to have a positive impact on the environment.
