Congregational and General Charitable Trust
Overview
The Trust now awards grants ranging from a minimum of £1,000 to a maximum of £25,000.
All grants are directly related to the cost of the project involved. Within the above limits, the maximum percentage project cost is 25%, to the nearest £100.
They will also consider applications from church community projects for funding towards capital costs (but not for ongoing work).
They encourage churches to take professional advice (e.g. Architects, Quantity Surveyors, Site Management) in preparing for and undertaking building projects. These costs can be included in the total project costs when applying for a grant.
Depending on applications received, they distribute up to £290,000 towards approved projects each quarter.
Grants approved will normally be for capital projects involving building work such as repairs, improvements or extensions.
