Castlereagh Borough Arts Grants
Overview
Funds have been made available to increase the level of artistic activity in the Borough and promote awareness cultural diversity in the local community.
Very small grants up to £200 are available. Up to 15 projects are funded each year.
Groups and organisations making applications for funding, must demonstrate fully how their project meets the objectives of the programme.
(The project must address at least 3 of the following objectives)
- To promote and encourage artistic development, skills and/or the knowledge of the community.
- To encourage active participation in one or more artistic field
- To promote the respect and awareness of cultural diversity through the arts.
- To provide a measurable outcome of the existence/success of the project. e.g: performance, piece of art work, increase in artistic knowledge/skills.
Only groups or organisations may apply, not individuals. Grants apply to work carried out within Northern Ireland.
Applications for small grants can be submitted to the Arts Officer throughout the financial year (April - March).
Applicants should understand that whilst careful consideration is given to each application, it may not be possible to assist applications to the extent required or at all, even if they meet the criteria set out above, due to the financial constraints of the funding body.
