Overview
Hearts in Action
Hearts in Action is AXA’s global community partnership programme which provides volunteer and charity fundraising opportunities for employees and is designed to build links between their business, their people and their local communities. It acts as a guideline for community involvement but allows local offices to develop programmes that are suitable for their employees and local community needs. AXA's aim to develop long term links with the communities in which they operate and share their business skills for risk education.

Employee fundraising and donations
In addition to a multitude of local and employee-specific fundraising efforts, they support national campaigns with employee fundraising and in-kind donations. As part of their commitment to reducing risk through research and education, they support the global AXA NGO partnership with CARE to help vulnerable populations better prepare for climate-related risks. CARE is a global humanitarian organisation which aims to address the underlying causes of poverty and move towards sustainable development, mostly by way of programmes based on microfinance, education, AIDS relief, food security and drinking water.
Its most recent listed community activities include:
- Support for the Junior Achievers programme − empowering youth and preparing them for a financially independent life
- Providing a contact centre of 100 lines for the Children in Need telethon appeal
- Supporting students in a Bolton school with CV writing, work experience and careers advice
- Raising £22,600 for Macmillan Cancer Support
- Raising £11,000 for the East Africa Crisis Appeal
