Women's Fund for Northern Ireland: Large Grants
Overview
Administered by the Community Foundation for Northern Ireland, the Fund aims to help women overcome the barriers currently preventing their personal development, by providing small grants to foster and develop new opportunities in their own lives.
An independent steering committee has been established to oversee the Fund and it's intention is to reach out to women and men who can help and be helped.
Priorities
In order to make greatest impact, the distribution of available funding from the Women's Fund for Northern Ireland will be focused and directed toward a specific priority area.
Typical grant-size is between £500 and £5,000.
The focus for this round continues to be Young Women (aged 16-30) and the majority of the funding will be distributed through established organisations and stakeholders, providing support to empower and develop young women in the areas of:
- Building Confidence and Self Esteem
- Leadership
- Knowledge and Capacity Building
- Skills Development
- Improving mental health and wellbeing
- Literacy and Numeracy skills
