Overview

To qualify for a grant the maintenance work must:

  1. Be based in the UK.
  2. Be for a mature English yew tree on a site owned by a non-profit organisation, church or Parish Council.
  3. Be carried out without any objections from an authority, such as the Local Authority and Church of England.
  4. Be realistic for £400, or to have secured any extra funding where needed. At least one written quote must be provided from an accredited arboricultural contractor as evidence of the total cost.
  5. Have a date for completion within 4 months of receiving the grant
  6. Have a named individual responsible for the grant and organising the maintenance work.
  7. Have an organisation’s bank account the grant can be paid to.

When you have completed your project you must be able to:

  1. Provide receipts of all expenditure if requested.
  2. Provide information on the work that was undertaken (photographs, a short report, etc).

* A recognised community organisation can include a Parish Council, church, school, or registered community group.
