Overview
The Foundation was established and has been funded exclusively by the estate of the late G A Vandervell. The estate was wound up during 2003 and there will therefore be no further donations from the estate.
Vandervell Foundation awards grants to individuals and institutions, primarily in the fields of education, social welfare and medical research.
Expenditure on charitable activities y/e December 2019 included £361,000 on grants and donations.
While it does not appear that any of these funds were committed to Northern Ireland it is known they have funded Northern Ireland projects in the past.
Grants were mostly in the very low thousands with occasional larger grants made.
