The scheme provides funding of up to £500 to individuals who:
- Have an idea for bringing peers together to exchange ideas and support each other in personal support, skills sharing, networking and market development

Types of Spark Awards:
- Learning: problem solving, sounding board, technical support, skills sharing
- Personal Support: encouragement and safe place to express difficulties and celebrate success, a place to help others progress
- Market Development: place for collaboration, marketing and selling, finance
- Connecting: place for getting new or other connections for self/venture development
- Outreach: raising Awareness of social enterprise, inspiring others to get involved
