Overview
To address the challenges within the UK housing sector we believe radical new approaches are needed. UnLtd is looking for passionate people with great ideas that can demonstrate a commitment to making a positive and lasting difference to the lives of individuals and families affected by the housing crisis.
UnLtd want to help social entrepreneurs and social ventures with a strong understanding of contemporary housing issues, take their idea to the next stage of their journey. The Building Futures Innovation Fund is open to applicants ready to meet the housing needs of the vulnerable. So whether you are just starting out or you are already running a venture get in touch for support to grow or scale your venture to the next level.
UK Housing Facts
- Over 260,000 new private houses are required to meet the demand of the housing sector.
- House prices are now almost seven times the average income.
- Nearly nine million people in the UK are living in private rented accommodation which can mean instability and soaring rents.
Basic Eligibility Criteria
All applicants:
- Must be 18 or older
- Must be an individual
- Must be based in and benefit the UK
Building Futures Do It Awards
Do you have the energy and skills to take forward an idea to create social change to tackle housing issues? If you are passionate about using your social venture to build more resilient communities then you could apply for a Do it Award of support and cash of up to £5,000.
- You are passionate about creating social change
- You have an idea for a solution to a social issue
- You can deliver social benefit in the UK
- Your idea/venture has the potential to become sustainable
- This will be a learning opportunity for you
Building Futures Build It Awards
In exceptional cases UnLtd will offer up to £15,000 of funding to individuals who have an established social venture or who have the potential to develop rapidly. We want to hear from you about the impact you are creating which focus on resolving issues within the housing sector.
