Transform Foundation: Website Grant
Overview
The Transform Foundation is a registered charity and provides grants to help UK-registered organisations that are clearly for public benefit and the creation of social value.
General Funding Information
- As of July 2018, they had only funded charities registered with the Charities Commission, the OSCR or the Charity Commission for Northern Ireland.
- If you are not a registered charity, but are a not-for-profit organisation, and do something which is clearly in the public good, they will still consider funding your organisation. They will however additionally provide further questions over email to ensure you satisfy their requirements that your organisation has clear social value on an ongoing basis.
- They are specifically targeting small and midsize charities. Whilst they do not have a hard and fast revenue range as some charity income sizes can be misleading, they generally fund organisations between £350k and £30M income a year or who have the resources to follow on their funding through internal investment.
- As they are not a large funder, they provide very focussed and specific grant programmes that are not right for every charity. They ask you to fully engage in their process and webinar education sessions once you have been successful in Stage 1 to ensure that the programme is suitable for your organisation.
- They seek to be as transparent as possible about all their funding programmes, without overwhelming people with information. Their FAQs are an important source of information, and if you notice anything that they should add to these, please do contact them. As a relatively new funder they are always seeking to improve based on feedback.
Website grants provide funding of up to £18,000 to cover the strategy, design, build, content strategy, training, QA and launch of a new mobile optimised website, with sophisticated marketing, fundraising, appeals, social media, e-commerce and website management tools
The grant covers 100% of the website design and build costs with their current grant partner. Your organisation will need to cover ongoing costs for a minimum of a 12 month commitment
They have conducted several case studies and now built a real time report showing total income increased from their successfully funded projects.
Should you apply
- They are seeking to support organisations that are looking to use their website as a marketing platform in order to achieve their charitable objectives, whether they be raising funds, recruiting volunteers, carrying out online petitions or reaching beneficiaries. Therefore, they do not fund organisations who simply want a basic brochure-style website or who have no defined measures of success
- They look to support organisations that are committed to making best use of their new website e.g. through updating content frequently. Therefore, they suggest you only apply if you can commit to someone in your organisation spending at least 2 hours a week managing the website

They have selected Raising IT as their current partner for this programme. Raising IT has raised millions of pounds for over 400 clients.
