Strabane District Voluntary Contributions Grant Aid
Overview
The activity must compliment the stated Council Corporate Themes:
- Increase in Civic Pride: How does the activity positively portray the District; preserve the history/heritage of the District or demonstrate a sense of ownership and responsibility
- Increase Community Well-Being: How does the project enhance; the Social well being, the physical/health, or the skills/knowledge/education of the participants
- Equality of opportunity: How does the project contribute to equality of opportunity and community harmony?
The activity must take place or have a clear impact within the Strabane District Council Area. Applicants must not have received assistance for this project from this or any other Council funded programme in the same financial year.
Grant Aid will only be available be constituted groups i.e. Groups accountable to local people through its constitution, membership, committee elections, accounting procedures and Annual General Meetings (minutes of the most recent AGM must be included).
Groups applying for Grant Aid must have a current bank account, in the name of the group.
How to Apply
There will be one funding round closing on 31 March each year. An Advertisement will be placed in local papers with the CAL grant aid programmes.
