Sports Grants

Overview

The following Sports categories are offered:

New Sports Club Grant : To assist new clubs in their initial start up costs with a seeding grant up to a maximum of £200.

Sports Equipment Grant: To assist with the purchase of essential sports equipment, excluding personal equipment. Priority will be given for safety equipment and that for use in Junior Clubs up to a maximum of £200.

Excellence Sports Grants: To assist with travel and competition costs for clubs and individuals representing the Borough at Provincial level and above, up to a maximum of £150

Coaching Sports Grants: Up to a maximum of £150 to assist individuals in gaining a recognised qualification that will benefit a club within the borough

Sports events: To assist clubs in organising a local event that will involve local competitors and will attract visitors into the area up to a maximum of £250

Sports Training Grant: To assist individuals competing at National Level and above, with access to facilities operated by Carrickfergus Borough Council up to a maximum of £100. Facilities must be directly related to the sport that the individual competes in, or for fitness training.
