Overview

All applications / projects must address one or more of the Sheds Grant Fund objectives. The objectives are:

  • Assisting people in setting up new Sheds.
  • Helping people learn new skills and pass on existing ones.
  • Increasing opportunities for community spaces where members determine the projects they work on and have a say in how their Shed develops.
  • Helping communities tackle social isolation and loneliness amongst their ageing population.

Sheds applying must be:

  • Run as a membership - co-ordinated by unpaid volunteers for the benefit of its members
  • A member of (or willing to join) its national Men’s Sheds Association
  • Happy to participate in local promotional or partnership opportunities, as may arise, with their local Asda store

Funding is available to support any of the following;

  • Purchasing new tools or equipment
  • Building renovation costs
  • Revenue costs (e.g. rent/insurance contribution/electricity)
  • Promotional Materials
