Overview
All applications / projects must address one or more of the Sheds Grant Fund objectives. The objectives are:
- Assisting people in setting up new Sheds.
- Helping people learn new skills and pass on existing ones.
- Increasing opportunities for community spaces where members determine the projects they work on and have a say in how their Shed develops.
- Helping communities tackle social isolation and loneliness amongst their ageing population.
Sheds applying must be:
- Run as a membership - co-ordinated by unpaid volunteers for the benefit of its members
- A member of (or willing to join) its national Men’s Sheds Association
- Happy to participate in local promotional or partnership opportunities, as may arise, with their local Asda store
Funding is available to support any of the following;
- Purchasing new tools or equipment
- Building renovation costs
- Revenue costs (e.g. rent/insurance contribution/electricity)
- Promotional Materials
