Overview
Each academic year RAG welcomes applications from charities across NI. These are then shortlisted and 2 are chosen by democratic vote of the student population to be the recipients of their fundraising efforts for the year.
Eligibility
- a) a recognised charity based in Northern Ireland
- b) which receives little or no government funding
- c) and will use the money within Northern Ireland
The charity selection process begins around January every year – keep an eye on the news section of the website to access their application form. These applications are shortlisted to five, who then go to an all-student vote in March.

For 2022/23 the chosen charities were:
- Pure Mental NI
- Homeplus
The 2020/2021 QUB Raise & Give charities were:
- Belfast Samaritans
- Save the Children
