Overview

The Council will only consider one application per organisation for the Queens’s Platinum Jubilee Fund programme.

Threshold:

£500 - £2,000

Aim:

To provide funding towards projects / initiatives / events to mark the Platinum Jubilee of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

Objectives:

The key objective of the theme is to provide funding towards projects / initiatives / events which positively mark the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee. The proposed projects / initiatives / events should:

  • build positive community relations,
  • raise awareness and understanding,
  • address perceptions, and
  • promote respect.

Please note: Applicants who have made an application for a Queen’s Platinum Jubilee related event under Council’s Financial Assistance Call 1 2022/23 may, should they wish, submit an application seeking funding towards a different element of their project. Likewise, if you were initially unsuccessful in securing funding through Call 1, you are welcome to re- apply to this fund.

Eligible costs

One-off event insurance linked to the project is eligible or, if applicable, part payment of annual insurance. Please note the part payment should be proportionate to the activity taking place (and must be pre-agreed with the Programmes Unit prior to claiming).

All project activity MUST be completed by 31st March 2023.

Basic Eligibility

Applicants can fail to pass Stage 1 due to the following reasons:

  • An incomplete application.
  • Failure to provide the application form and all the details required by the closing date/time (the EGMS will not allow this to be submitted).
  • An application which has not been approved by two office bearers.
  • An application which does not meet the Basic Eligibility criteria as outlined:
    • Group is constituted, not-for-profit and can prove they are governed appropriately.
    • Uploaded all relevant documents i.e. proof of group legal status, safeguarding policy, accounts / income and expenditure, landowner permission (if relevant), copy of group constitution (if relevant).
    • Project delivered within Council area
    • Project meets the criteria of the programme applied under (see Section 3).
    • Project costs are within the minimum and maximum thresholds for the programme (see Section 3).
    • Completed compliance declaration for all risks including COVID-19, Safeguarding and risk assessments.
