NatWest SE100 Awards
Overview
The NatWest SE100 Social Business Awards is recognised as a leading awards programmes for social enterprises across the UK – winning or being shortlisted for one of our awards not only brings you the respect of your peers but raises your profile among customers, media and potential clients and investors.
Awards winners will receive a professionally produced winners film about their organisation for use across future PR and marketing collateral, a beautiful SE100 trophy created by social enterprise artists, and a share of cash prizes totaling £5,000.
THE LEADERSHIP AWARD
The Leadership Award will be awarded to an individual who has led an organisation effectively, inspired their staff, and has demostrated that their attitude and ability towards running a business has delivered success both on social and financial grounds. In particular we look for:
- Positive financial and social impact track record as an organisation
- What legacy the individual has left while they have been there
- What makes the individual a good leader
CRITERIA:
- Fully completed SE100 profile
- Led the organisation for at least 3 years
- Nominated by an existing member of the team
- Two additional endorsements; evidenced by staff, partners, stakeholders, clients or customers
GROWTH CHAMPION AWARD
The Growth Champion will be awarded to the social venture who has experienced positive, financial growth from one year to the next. In particular we focus on:
- The positive growth of the social enterprises across a range of turnover categories
- Sustainable and diverse income streams coupled with a sustainable business model
THE PRIZE FUND FOR THIS AWARD IS £1,000
CRITERIA:
- Fully completed SE100 profile
- At least 2 years of annual returns
- An incorporation date of 3 years or older from the date of the deadline
- Positive financial growth
- Diverse and sustainable income streams
IMPACT CHAMPION AWARD
The Impact award recognises social enterprises that take considerable measures to demonstrate and communicate the social or environmental impact of their business. In particular the award focuses on:
- The steps taken to measure the relative value of the organisation’s social or environmental impact
- The level of stakeholder involvement in this process
- The changes that an organisation has made to their activities and management as a result of this process
- The extent to which the organisation has been able to compete for and win new business as a result of demonstrating its impact
THE PRIZE FUND FOR THIS AWARD IS £1000 AND ORGANISATIONAL MEMBERSHIP TO SOCIAL VALUE UK (WORTH £500)
CRITERIA:
- Fully completed SE100 profile
- An impact measurement score of 8 or more
- Independently assured social impact reporting
TRAILBLAZING NEWCOMER
This is the award for a newcomer social enterprise who has made great strides to become a leader amongst their peers. The winners of this award are truly trailblazing- they combine solid growth with a commitment to proving the positive impact of their business. In particular the award focuses on:
- Sustainable financial growth and business model
- Independently assured social impact reporting
- The steps taken to measure the relative value of the organisation’s social impact
- The level of stakeholder involvement in this process
THE PRIZE FUND FOR THIS AWARD IS: £1,000
CRITERIA:
- Fully completed SE100 profile
- An incorporation date younger than 3 years from the date of the deadline
- An impact measurement score of 7 or more
- Independently assured social impact reporting
- At least 1 year of annual returns
THE RESILIENCE AWARD
The Resilience Award is one for those social ventures that continually deliver positive social or environmental change and repeatedly achieve impact goals, keeping focussed on delivering their mission 'whatever the weather'. The winner will be a social venture that can show it has been 'exceptionally steady' by successfully tackling challenges and overcoming difficulties.
THE PRIZE FUND FOR THIS AWARD IS: £1,000
CRITERIA:
- Fully completed SE100 profile
- A completed nomination form
- At least 3 years of annual returns uploaded to the SE100 site, with the ability to provide 3-5 years of financial reporting for judging
THE STORYTELLER AWARD
The Storyteller Award is our recognition of the great stories the SE100 team hear every day from social enterprises on the Index. These are the stories that back up the data we collect. This award will go to a social venture that has created and delivered a brilliant communications campaign to drive the impact and scale of its activity.
