Overview

There are three grants to be awarded under each opportunity.

Applications are open across the UK and they are particularly interested to receive proposals from Northern Ireland or Wales, or projects that respond to the theme of Our Health.

Generation Hope

Generation Hope is an annual programme which is created in partnership with young climate leaders from around the world. Through talks, workshops, storytelling and more, Generation Hope inspires young people to gain the knowledge, confidence and skills to speak up and take action for the planet.

The opportunity:

  • Apply for grants up to £2,500 (three grants to be awarded in 2025)
  • To support costs related to delivery of events and programming on the planetary emergency aimed at a youth audience
  • Activity to be delivered in Spring 2026 to coincide with Generation Hope Programming at NHM South Kensington
  • Partners will receive an onboarding pack and 4 meetings with NHM for ideation and practical support (this includes 1 project kick off and 1 follow-up evaluation meeting). There is also an option to work with their scientific researchers to develop your project ideas.

Light Touch Partner 

As a Light-Touch Interconnected partner, you will be able to use up to 30% of the Fixing Our Broken Planet gallery content of your choice (free of charge). 

The opportunity:

  • Apply for grants up to £3,000 (3 grants to be awarded in 2025)
  • To support costs related to the development and delivery of FOBP-inspired activity with your audiences
  • Projects to be delivered between Oct 2025 and Feb 2027
  • Partners will receive an onboarding pack and 4 meetings with NHM for ideation and practical support (this includes 1 project kick off and 1 follow-up evaluation meeting). There is also an option to work with their scientific researchers to develop your project.
  • Free access to use abridged 'Fixing Our Broken Planet: Displays and Content Tooklit' featuring exhibit elements from the Fixing Our Broken Planet Gallery at NHM London.
