***Michelin Charity Support Policy
Overview
Michelin Tyre PLC only provides support to charities, educational establishments and 'not for profit' entities. Support is generally awarded for specific activities, not general operating costs, however some operating costs may be allocated for the administration of a project.
As part of its value 'respect for people', Michelin plays an active role in the communities local to its activities.
Core focus areas
Education: Michelin is committed to developing creative thinkers for tomorrow's workplace. They foster and support programmes that build reading, literacy and numeracy skills within local schools. They also promote scientific and technical professions and encourage youth development through sport and culture. They believe these programmes nurture creativity and develop important life and work skills.
Mobility Safety & Environment: They are committed to support programmes that reduce the impact of their activities on the environment. In addition, they look to support programmes that sustain the natural environment and promote green mobility. They work to educate, raise awareness of and sustain better mobility through road safety initiatives.
Community Enhancement: They are committed to supporting programmes that enrich the quality of life for individuals and communities as a whole. Providing support in Health & Human services should be considered and they also believe the Arts and heritage are a powerful way to expose people to different cultures and celebrate the diversity of all people.
Prior to submitting a request for support, the organisation should determine whether it falls within one of the core focus areas and meets their support guidelines. Eligibility
