Overview

Four awards to choose from:

Personable

This award celebrates an individual that approaches everything they do with kindness and compassion. Whether they are a part of community organisation or a volunteer, they go above and beyond to help a local cause that matters to them.

Problem solving

This award celebrates an individual or organisation that has overcome an obstacle or a challenge in an innovative and optimistic way.

Enterprising

This award celebrates an individual or organisation that has come up with a creative and enterprising way to help improve their local community.

Passionate

This award celebrates an individual or organisation that has demonstrated passion, enthusiasm and a commitment to help improve their local community.

Entrants

  • Individual entrants must be UK residents and aged 18 or over.
  • Should an entrant be found to be less than 18 years of age or not a qualifying business or charity under the criteria detailed below, the entry will be disqualified and removed from the competition.
  • The competition is only open to UK businesses and charities.
  • Entrants must submit a form hosted on Marsh Commercial website and cannot submit entries on behalf of another entrant (excluding where an entrant is nominating another individual for the competition).
  • If you nominate an individual or business or charity for an award you are submitting their contact details and your own to us.
  • Marsh Commercial will contact your nominee to let them know you have nominated them and invite them to enter and confirm they accept these Terms and Conditions. If the nominee declines to enter or does not contact them, they will delete their contact information within 7 days after 30 October 2022 and not enter them into the competition.
  • Only one entry per person/business or charity. Proof of ID might be required before the prize is awarded.

Prize

  • The prize is for four entries to win £5,000 to invest in their community via a UK registered charity or community interest company.
  • There will be four runner up entries that will win £1,000.
  • Where the prize is to be donated to a charity it must be a single registered charity nominated by the winner that meets the conditions below:
  • Must be a United Kingdom and Ireland registered charity.
  • Must not be a political or religious organisation.
  • Must pass our sanctions screening process.
  • Where the prize is to be donated to a Community Interest Company nominated by the winner it must meet the conditions below:
  • Must be a United Kingdom and Ireland registered Community Interest Company.
  • Must not be a political or religious organization.
  • The sole use of the business must be a Community Interest Company.
  • Must pass their sanctions screening process and undergo verification checks carried out by the Charities Aid Foundation. If this is not passed, Marsh Commercial reserve the right to withdraw the prize offer.
