Lloyds Bank Foundation for Northern Ireland: Creating Change
Overview
The Lloyds TSB Foundation for Northern Ireland is a grant-giving Foundation whose income is derived from a shareholding in Lloyds TSB Group. The Foundation isindependent of the Group. Its policies are determined by a Board of Trustees.
The Foundation allocates its funds in support of the Northern Ireland community, to enable people, primarily those in need, to be active members of society and to improve their quality of life.
The overall policy of the Trustees is to support underfunded charities that enable people, especially disadvantaged or people with special needs, to play a fuller role in the community.
The Foundation has two grant programmes, the Standard Grant Programme, and the Creating Change Grant Programme.
Key Objective of the Creating Change Grant Programme
This new Programme is designed to strengthen and increase the capacity of registered charities in Northern Ireland working for the benefit of disadvantaged people and communities, with the availability of up to six years’ funding.
The Foundation hopes this will provide much needed stability, whilst the transfer of knowledge, development training, signposting, non-financial support, the sharing of learning and peer networking will strengthen the successful organisations. This will enable them to unlock their potential, further improve their already established track record and lever additional significant income.
Up to £2 million in total, TAPERED over a six year period, will be available for up to twenty organisations that can clearly demonstrate past success within their community of interest.
Funding is available for up to 6 years at tapered levels, with a total maximum for each organisation of £100,000 over the six years. Please see the document, ‘Advice on Completing the Form’ for maximum funding levels in each of the six years.
Grant applications can be made towards salary costs, core costs and development costs for ongoing or new projects. It is vital that you cover all aspects of the submission within the Application Form. Please do not send original documents, only copies as no documents will be returned.
Organisations need to articulate the benefit the Foundation’s support could bring to bear on their vision for the future, addressing social problems through service delivery, education or advocacy. The Foundation hopes to build a strong relationship with the organisations selected to benefit from this Programme. Reaching beyond grant-making and striving for sustainable positive impact with the successful achievement of mutually developed and shared goals will be central to Creating Change.
