Overview

Lisburn and Castlereagh City Council have decided to provide a budget for grants to a maximum value of £500 each for Community Groups operating within the city district to provide ‘community parties’ to celebrate the forthcoming 90th Birthday of Her Majesty the Queen – 11th June 2016. The celebration event is required to take place between Friday3rd June to Saturday 18 June 2016 inclusive.Applications must be made by bonafide Community Groups governed by a constitution or other appropriate governing documentation and have office bearers and a committee elected at a minuted AGM with audited or independently examined accounts. Applications should have the signatories of two office bearers who will be responsible for verifying grant claims.Application must be made on the form provided and all sections of the form must be completed. Applicants will be required to provide a brief proposal outlining how the grant is to be spent and how community participation is to be encouraged. The community celebration must be an all-inclusive event, open and accessible to anyone in the community.
