Overview

The Lefevre Trust has recently expanded its area of benefit to the whole of the UK. It now provides funding for reciprocal visits between the UK and France (including the overseas territories) for groups of 11-19 year olds working on collaborative projects. Each partnership can apply for up to £10,000 funding for the visits.

All groups of 11-19 year olds from the formal or informal education sectors are eligible to apply for funding including youth groups, extra-curricular clubs, sports teams, schools, theatre troupes and arts organisations.

The Lefèvre Trust aims to be an inclusive funding source and groups are encouraged to apply whatever their additional needs.

The Trust aims to provide opportunities for young people who otherwise may not have the possibility to engage in an experience with France. Applications from cluster schools are also welcome.

In order to encourage more groups of young people with special needs to access this funding, groups can apply either without a partner in France but with a specific project, or without a specific project focus but significant time spent with a French partner. However groups are encouraged to identify a French partner.
