Overview

Clubs are expected to use all government guidance and support available to them before considering applying for the Club Continuity Fund.

The IRFU Club Continuity Fund should be a last resort for clubs who fear that they may not be able to re-open their gates as a direct result of COVID-19.

Government Support

Continuity Fund Details

If, after taking account of the club’s reserves etc. and government support available, your club feels it is not at risk of closure, please do not apply. This will ensure funding goes to those clubs most in need.

All clubs are expected to have taken whatever action is possible to reduce their outgoings at this difficult time. Such actions will be taken into account in the assessment of the applications.

This application form has been created by the IRFU, in partnership with the provinces, to facilitate distribution of funding and identify clubs most at risk.

Clubs are asked to note:

  • A completed application is not a guarantee of funding
  • Demand may exceed available funds, therefore clubs may be granted less than the full amount requested
  • Having made their submission, clubs may be asked to submit additional documentation in support of their application
