givestar’s Adventure for Good Grant

Open (with deadline for applications) Miscellaneous Great Britain Northern Ireland Medium (up to £60,000) Micro (up to £1,000) Small (up to £10,000)

Overview

Adventure for Good Grant is back, but with a funding pot of £100,000.

What is the Adventure for Good Grant?

The grant is for people taking on game-changing challenges to raise money for charity, the kind of bold adventures that push limits and turn heads. Whether you’re running back-to-back marathons, navigating wild terrain, or tackling an insane endurance feat, givestar is here to back you all the way. No fluff - just straight-up financial support for things like equipment, travel, and entry fees to fuel your mission so you can make a big impact for charity.

What are they looking for?

If what you’re planning makes people do a double take, then you’re along the right lines. They’re looking for people who want to push the boundaries, set records, and do things which haven’t been done before. Unsure? Contact them and they'll give you a steer

Who can apply?

This grant is for everyday people planning extraordinary feats - think rowing oceans, scaling peaks, or embarking on unique endurance missions to raise funds for a cause. It doesn’t matter if you’ve already started fundraising elsewhere, as long as you’re fundraising for a UK or US based charity, and are over 18 - you’re eligible.

  • You must be planning to fundraise for a UK or US registered charity in order to apply

Funding Level

Your application will be reviewed by a panel of experts, which includes previous fundraising heroes, who will agree how the £100,000 pot will be divided between successful fundraisers.

The selected crew will receive grant funding towards their challenge and also join their AllStars programme - a VIP community for those taking their fundraising to the next level.

The grant money is to help you to cover the costs of your challenge - it’s not a donation to the charity or fundraising page itself and will be sent directly to your bank account. Past recipients have used the funding to pay for equipment like boots or oars, flights, visas, accommodation and entry fees.

Notes

  • There needs to be a charity fundraising element to your challenge. This is non-negotiable for this fundraising platform provider.
  • If you have a fundraising page set up already, either on givestar or another fundraising site, it’s not a dealbreaker - it’s a positive sign if anything. They will require you to continue your fundraising on givestar, so as long as you’re happy to move over (they can help you with this), that’s all that matters.

What’s the AllStars community?

If you’re successful, they’ll do much more than just provide you with funding. Their AllStars community has already welcomed over 40 legends who’ve become brand ambassadors and had access to a full benefits package. Their primary focus is to help you be as successful in your fundraising as possible so you’ll get the same:

  • Givestar merchandise
  • Opportunity to work with their content team
  • Inclusion in our VIP community group on WhatsApp
  • Invites to exclusive AllStars events to network and share advice and support
  • Page optimisation tips and monthly check ins
  • A dedicated personal contact at givestar
  • PR advice and planning session with an expert
  • inclusion on our priority campaigns feed

The fund has previously supported challenges such as running the entire length of Africa and rowing solo across the Atlantic.
