Overview

Who can apply?

Groups within the legacy council areas of Fermanagh, Omagh, Strabane and Limavady may apply if:

  • Constituted community and voluntary groups
  • Sporting organisations
  • Church Halls
  • Orange Halls

Important Information

  • Evidence that a constitution has been formally adopted, dated and signed must be supplied.
  • Groups must be not for profit
  • Buildings can be community owned or leased. Evidence of Community Group ownership or lease is to be provided with the project application. If the premises is leased the minimum lease expected is 5 years.
  • Statutory Approvals are required to be in place or applied for prior to application e.g. Building Control approval, if required, should be applied for or Planning Permission should be in place.
  • Groups need to have had limited previous capital investment (less than £75,000 in the last 3 years). This project is designed to help the smaller groups, those removed from the general funding process.
  • Projects where works have already commenced shall not be considered.

Which wards are eligible?

Fermanagh

  • Enniskillen – Lisbellaw, Rossorry, Portora, Erne, Lisnarick and Castlecoole wards.
  • Erne West – Derrylin, Florence Court and Kinawley, Boho, Cleenish and Letterbreen, Derrygonnelly and Belcoo and Garrison.
  • Erne North – Belleek and Boa, Ederney and Kesh, Irvinestown, Tempo, Lisnarick and Ballinmallard.
  • Erne East – Newtownbutler, Rosslea, Donagh, Lisnaskea, Maguiresbridge and Brookeborough.

Omagh

  • West Tyrone – Fintona, Newtownsaville, Dromore, Drumquin, Trillick, Fairy Water.
  • Omagh – Gortrush, Strule, Killyclogher, Coolnagard, Dergmoney, Camowen.
  • Mid Tyrone – Owenkillew, Termon, Sixmilecross, Beragh, Drumnakilly and Gortin.

Limavady

  • Aghanloo, Althahullion, Ballykelly, Binevenagh, Coolessan, Dungiven, Drumsurn, Enagh, Feeny, Forest, Glack, Greysteel, Greystone, Magillian, Rathbrady, Roeside, The Highlands, Upper Glenshane.

Strabane

  • Derg - Castlederg, Clare, Finn, Glenderg, Newtownstewart
  • Glenelly - Artigarvan, Dunnamanagh, Plumbridge, Slievekirk, Victoria Bridge
  • Mourne - Ballycolman, East, North, Sion Mills, South, West

What can be funded?

Examples of eligible works are as follows, but not limited to:

  • Small scale extensions or renovation works to accommodate multiple activities
  • Renovations which enable the building to become more energy efficient
  • Sub-divisions to premises to allow for multiple usages
  • General works to meet health and safety standards
  • Accessibility to a premises
