Fermanagh Community Services Grants
Overview
The Community Services Development Grant aims to help community or voluntary organisations to develop an action plan or project idea that they would like to take forward in the future.
Grants of up to 50% of project costs are available, to a maximum of £1,600.
The Community Services grants policy aim is to enhance community infrastructure throughout the county, through programme support project development and strategic initiatives.
Objectives are as follows:
- build community capacity
- promote community regeneration
- effect positive change and share policy development
- promote the effectiveness and sustainability of community sector
- promote inter agency co-ordination and collaborative approaches at regional and county level.
The Council may Grant Aid work of Community Services benefit in the following areas:
- Community Arts
- Community Education/Training
- Community Care
- Community Health
- Community Development
- Project Development
There are two separate types of funding available through the Community Services Grant Aid Programme. Community Services General Grant Aid Community Services General Grant Aid which is available to community and voluntary groups operating within the County of Fermanagh and clearly addressing one or more of the areas of benefit outlined above. Fermanagh District Council will not consider funding for the following items of expenditure through this programme.
- Ongoing running costs
- Bursaries (Research)
- Educational Bursaries
- Community Holidays
- Capital Expenditure
- Christmas Events
While there is no maximum grant the total amount available for distribution in the 2013/2014 financial year is £14,000. This programme has no closing dates so therefore applications will be considered throughout the year. Support for Countywide Organisations offering Advice and/or GuidanceSupport for Countywide Organisations offering Advice and/or Guidance clearly addressing one of the areas of benefit identified above. Eligible expenditure can include running costs. Fermanagh District Council will not consider funding for the following items of expenditure through this programme.
- Bursaries (Research)
- Educational Bursaries
- Community Holidays
- Christmas Events
In addition organisations applying for support should be not for profit and be able to demonstrate that they have operational premises in Fermanagh and a significant presence throughout the County. While there is no maximum grant the total amount available for distribution in the 2013/2014 financial year is £10,000.
