Overview

EMO have two programmes offering support to community projects: Emo Community and Emotrust. EMO operates through the following companies: EMO Newcastle, Alderdice Fuels (Dromore, County Down), Donaldson Fuels (Cookstown), EMO Belfast, Buchanon Fuels (Omagh), EMO Coleraine, EMO RoI (Portlaoise), EMO UK (Cheshire).

Emo Community

EMO state they would love to hear what you are doing that you think deserves recognition and support in your local community. This may be a fundraising event or you could be a long term supporter of an important cause. They are open to proposals.

EmoTrust

EMO state they are passionate about their business, and when they do well, they believe they should sow something back into the community. Although they support a wide range of community events and local people, they think its important to commit to something that their customers and staff feel strongly about.

Through the trust programme they commit a little more of themselves, their time and resources to those who they can also trust to really make a difference.

Example Grants

In 2011/12 Emotrust is working with the Northern Ireland Cancer Fund for Children and has done for many years. Emotrust has made a commitment to an annual plan that involves fundraising, donations, events and promotions.

Through the Emotrust NICFC provide a one-off annual payment of £200 towards Emo home heating oil. This £200 is for families who are nursing a child or a young person up to the age of 21, who has been diagnosed with, and is receiving treatment for cancer. The grant is open to all and is not subject to any form of means testing. To apply for this grant, contact the NICFC Family Team on 028 9073 0686.
