Overview
The Community Investment Fund supports sub-regional and multi-neighbourhood organisations that provide support services, or co-ordination for smaller local community groups, and which are capable of developing their provision of support and services to such groups on a wider scale.
- ‘Sub-regional’ organisations are defined as those providing support or services covering at least one of the existing Council areas;
- ‘Multi-neighbourhood’ organisations are defined as those providing support and services across at least two Super Output Areas.
Funding Level:
The Community Investment Fund programme totals £5m over the period July 2006 to March 2009. Organizations are funded up to a maximum of £240K over this period, to cover up to two essential salary costs and up to 75% of core running costs.
