Overview

Through a mixture of product sales and fundraising in Debenhams stores, head office fundraising events and through supplier fundraising events, the Debenhams Foundation aims to primarily raise money for its key charity partners.

Key charity partners and initiatives are BBC Children in Need, Help for Heroes, Breakthrough Breast Cancer, Breast Cancer Campaign and Pink Ribbon Foundation. The Debenhams Foundation also supports Fashion Targets Breast Cancer and charities which operate in the Debenhams store community.

The Debenhams Foundation – charity number 1147682 – was formally registered with the Charity Commission on 13 June 2012.

Nikki Zamblera, chair of the trustees, is joined by former Debenhams’ senior managers, Pat Skinner and Keith Markham, in overseeing the efficient running of the Foundation.

All monies raised through customer and staff fundraising go via the Foundation, including ad hoc support for overseas relief efforts via the Disasters Emergency Committee (DEC).

The Foundation also manages the annual donation of funds from Debenhams plc to the Debenhams Retirement Association.
