Overview

Grant assistance will only be made available for a specified activity, event or function. Preference will be given to those projects/activities, which are new and innovative or demonstrate development on previous years' projects/activities. Grant assistance would be considered for those that:

  • organise or provide an unique service within the Cookstown District Council area and which attract a considerable number of competitors or participants and/or visitors from within and outside of Northern Ireland.
  • The level of grant-aid should be determined by the merit of each application and the significance of the event.
  • representing a Group/Organisation or Cookstown District at a Northern Ireland National event. Recommended contributions: Individual- up to £100; Group- up to £250
  • participating at an international occasion in the Republic of Ireland, Great Britain, Europe or the rest of the world. Recommended contributions: Individual- up to £150; Group- up to £300
  • Committees established by Cookstown District Council to spearhead Council’s interest and efforts in a given area i.e. Arts Committee, Town Twinning Committee, etc. Amounts to be determined by Council within the annual budget for each activity.

Applicants will be required to provide significant evidence of a level of local benefit.
