Overview

Grants available: Between £10,000 and £25,000 for a duration of 12 months.

Funding Criteria

Organisations should be addressing at least one of these three priority themes:

  • Increasing economic well-being
  • Improving the supply of low-income housing and housing opportunity
  • Preventing homelessness

Whilst the following is not an exhaustive list, they would expect to see clear impact in at least one of these areas:

An enhancement in skills or knowledge within your organisation

  • An expanded and/or more efficient and effective service offer
  • More robust organisational structures and processes
  • Strengthened connections and/or a greater perception of you organisation locally

Who can apply:

  • The Fund is available for Belfast only. If your organisation operates a wider or different geographical area, you must demonstrate clearly how the grant will be used only to support work in this target area.
  • Applicants must be a registered UK charity, a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO), Company Limited by Guarantee, not-for-private profit Community Interest Company with charitable aims. You must also have a minimum of three unrelated Board/Committee members and a registered bank account.
  • Organisations with at least one paid member of staff
  • Priority will be given to small to medium sized local organisations with annual incomes of between £100,000 and £1 million.
  • Partnership and consortia bids are welcomed.

Examples of what they wil fund:

  • Consultants
  • Research
  • Service delivery to free up senior management time for strategic planning
  • Education, training, coaching or peer exchange opportunities
  • Convening / building networks
  • Review of policies and procedures
  • Review of organisational needs
  • Engaging communications and marketing expertise to develop communications plan, develop/update website and/or fundraising strategy
  • Engaging monitoring and evaluation expertise to develop and implement new measurement framework
