Overview

Eligibility and Loan Terms

  • Businesses must be predominantly based in Northern Ireland and have been unable to access mainstream finance.
  • Start-up enterprises (trading less than 2 years) can apply for up to £15,000. Companies trading over 2 years can apply for up to £100,000.*
  • The fund lends to individuals for business purposes and Limited Companies. Loans are typically unsecured however Personal Guarantees may be sought.*
  • Business Loan pricing quotes can be obtained using the loan calculator at www.nisblf.com
  • Mentoring support can be provided to start-up enterprises where loans of less than £15,000 have been availed of.

What you need to apply

  • Fully completed NI Small Business Loan Fund Application Form.
  • Two forms of identification, one for proof of identity (Copy of Passport or Driving Licence) and one for proof of address (Copy of utility bill, bank statement etc not more than 3 months old).
  • Start-Up Businesses will be required to provide a Business Plan and Financial Projections, any trading figures to date as well as the last 3 months business bank statements.
  • Existing Businesses will be required to provide their last 2 years Financial Accounts, Management Accounts (if available) and last 3 months business bank statements.
  • Other information such as quotes for expenditure, planning permissions, VAT/PAYE data, project briefs etc may be required as part of each individual case assessment.
