Climate Change and Displaced People Programme
Overview
Grants of up to £75,000 are available. Funds should be used within 18 to 36 months.
Please note that they receive many more funding applications than they have resources to fund. We are therefore only able to progress applications that are well designed and clearly meet our funding criteria.
Funding Criteria
Their objective is to increase the climate resilience of displaced people and their host communities. They do this by funding initiatives that help the two communities to adapt to climate change while also promoting environmental recovery and protection.
The fund initiatives that aim to deliver win-win outcomes for people and planet. All proposals must fulfil all three of the following criteria to be eligible for funding:
- Deliver tangible improvements in the quality of life,
- Have a positive impact on the natural environment (protection or restoration),
- Focus on forcibly displaced people and their host communities.
Preference will be given to proposals that foster, or already demonstrate, a positive engagement between displaced people and their host communities.
Who they fund
- Registered non-profit organisations (charities, social enterprises).
- Organisations with an annual income of less than £10 million.

After applying
Every application will be acknowledged by email within one week of receipt.
They will notify you of the outcome of your application two months after the application deadline. They endeavour to provide all applicants with brief feedback on their application.
