Overview

The Christian Brothers' Edmund Rice Fund was established in 1996 to mark the beatification of Edmund Rice.

Among the projects it will assist are :

  • The alleviation of poverty
  • The training of teachers, parents, youth leaders or others engaged in the provision of education, leadership or development
  • Research into educational disadvantage, school effectiveness, youth leadership and religious development of young people.
  • Educational facilities.

Grants are normally approved for specific projects for the period September to June. Exceptions may be approved when circumstances are deemed derserving.

The Trustees have the right, at their discretion, to nominate a representative to visit the project in order to check progress and/or substantiate Financial Reports and Records.

How to Apply

Applications are invited each year between February 1 and March 31. Applications received after the closing date of March 31 are not considered by the Trustees.

Application must be presented on the official application form available from The Christian Brothers’Edmund Rice Trust, Edmund Rice House, North Richmond Street, Dublin 1.
