Overview

Cash for Kids is calling on grassroots sports groups across Northern Ireland to join their unique fundraising competition.

Sports Challenge is about breaking down barriers to sport for children and young people facing disadvantage or disability, so we’re on the lookout for groups that can make a real impact.

How does it work

Up to 15 groups will be shortlisted and given from 20th September to 20th October to raise as much as they can with Cash for Kids providing expert fundraising advice and materials to help them succeed, teaching valuable skills to boost their future fundraising efforts.

ALL shortlisted groups get granted back 100% of the funds they raise and a chance to be awarded £15,000 additional funding. On top of what you raise, the top three fundraising groups will receive*

  • 1st Place - £5,000
  • 2nd Place - £2,500
  • 3rd Place - £1,500

PLUS all other groups will receive a top up grant of £500!**

*Subject to groups having raised at least the equivalent amount. **Subject to groups raising at least £1,500.

Example

The Finalist that raises the most money for the Charity during the Fundraising Period will receive a £5,000 prize in addition to the total raised by that Finalist. For example, if you raise £8,000 and this is the highest amount raised by any Finalist, you will receive £8,000 as well as an additional £5,000; therefore, the Grant will total £13,000
